Building the Delta Tau Delta House

Some news (better late than never) about the Joe M. MacKenzie Delta Tau Delta House, from the SamDelts website:
...in the early 2000's we sold the Delt house by the fairgrounds, and in 2005 we bought a top notch tract of land closer to campus. For the past few years we have been ironing out the details of how to best approach a new house, and we are ready to roll. We have construction ready plans for a 4,700 square-foot ranch that will sleep 6. It is a very impressive layout and it is hard not to get excited when you look at the plans.
Interestingly enough the SamDelts site notes that of the 12 Interfraternity Council (IFC) fraternities at SHSU, four own land (but not necessarily a house) along Fraternity Row and five have some sort of house/shelter elsewhere.  This stretch of land should be interesting to watch in the next decade or so.

You can learn more about the new fraternity house at the Delta Tau Delta website.
