Housed within the Lone Star College University Center at University Park, SHSU’s Northwest Houston Campus provides opportunities for transfer students who seek undergraduate degrees and serves non-traditional and master’s-level students, according to Richard Eglsaer, SHSU associate provost. It is located at the corner of Louetta and Highway 249.
The campus includes a second floor storefront where potential students can learn about SHSU and the programs offered on site, as well as meet with faculty and university advisers. Classes are held on the fifth floor and will be offered in as many as seven undergraduate programs, six master’s programs and, pending approval, a doctoral program.
SHSU signed a contract with Lone Star College in November 2010 and began offering a limited number of classes this spring in response to the growth of many programs and the growing demand in the area.
