President James Gaertner writes at Today@Sam:The spring semester at Sam Houston State University is over and before long I will be looking back at my first year as president. It has been an exciting year, and a busy one, and I would like to share with you some of our recent activities and accomplishments. When I was formally installed as Sam Houston State University's 12th president in February, I said that Sam Houston State is a wonderful place, but that we would all work together to "renew" it, physically and spiritually. I believe that renewal is well under way.
